Robert L. Bradbury LAKE OF EGYPT- Robert L. Bradbury, 69, of the Lake of Egypt passed away at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Leroy Waggoner officiating. Visitation will from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Military rites will be held by VFW Post 1301 and American Legion Post 147. Memorials may be made to Marion VFW Ritual Team; envelopes will be available at the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Bradbury was born on February 3, 1936 in Roanoke, Virginia to Roy Lewis and Nancy (Hunt) Bradbury. He married Ruby K. VanHoy in 1972 in Hampton, Virginia. Survivors include his wife, Ruby; children, Debbie and Robert Triplett of Herrin, Susan and Bill Daniel of Arkansas, Paul Davis of Marion and Jon and Mary Birckhead of West Frankfort; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Roy Bradbury. Mr. Bradbury had worked for R C Cola as a driver and for the last 12 years had sold furniture for B & K Furniture.
