Robert Joseph Hall

Robert Joseph “Bob” Hall MARION-Robert Joseph Hall, 79, of Marion passed away at 11:09 PM, Sunday, February 14, 2010 at his home in Marion after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Victor Long officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Willow Rest Cemetery in Carterville. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Marion; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Robert was born October 12, 1930 in West Frankfort to Bert, Sr. and Bernice (Collier) Hall. He married Kay Boske on February 14, 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas; together they shared 58 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Kay Hall of Marion; three sons, Robert Victor Hall of Springdale, Arkansas, Jeffrey Michael Hall of Dallas, Texas, and Brian Andrew and Anne Elizabeth Hall of Austin, Texas; sister, Pauline Faro; six grandchildren, Morgan, Tara, and Ryan, of Arkansas, Peyton, Carson, and Cameron of Texas. He was preceded by his parents; brother, Bert Hall, Jr; and step-mother, Audra Croft. Robert was born in West Frankfort but grew up in Carterville. He volunteered for service in the U.S. Army serving from April 1950 until April 1952. Robert managed a company that sold and distributed building supplies in Michigan and later managed a company in Columbus, Ohio before working for MultiCraft Corp. in Arkansas. He retired 1994. He and Kay returned to the area in 2005.
