Robert Allen Ferguson, 64 of Goreville passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his home at 10:30 PM with friends and family by his side. Funeral services will be held at Blue Funeral Home in Marion on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brent Schuetz & Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Cemetery south of Marion. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, IL. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Robert was born in Marion to Jesse & Muriel(Blumenstock) Ferguson on Thursday, September 9, 1948. He married Wanda Pritchett on Saturday, November 9, 1968 in Elgin. They had just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. Mr. Ferguson is survived by his loving wife, Wanda of Goreville; children, Robert & Jennifer Ferguson, Jr. of Marion and Dan & Bobbie Ferguson of Goreville; grandchildren, Jourdan, Evan, Philip, Candace, Sarah, Aspen, Douglas and Matthew; great-grandchild, Levi Robert “Baby Bob”; siblings, Carol Marsh, Becky & Steve Strunk, Lindle Ferguson, Howard & Lori Ferguson, Randy & Linda Ferguson and John & Tammy Ferguson; several nieces and nephews and his loving church family. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; great-grandparents; aunts and uncles; several cousins and a few very special friends.
