Robert E. “Eddie” Null, Sr. MARION-Robert E. “Eddie” Null, Sr., 69, of Marion passed away at 7:10 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Whiteash Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Jim Cockburn and Brother Deon Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 4, 2006 at the church. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to the Whiteash Free Will Baptist Church; envelopes will be available at the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Null was born on October 8, 1937 in Marion, Illinois to Clyde Leon and Clara Mae (Robinson) Null. He married Delores Kelley on April 13, 1963 in Corinth, Mississippi; together they shared 43 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Delores; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Don Newton; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Tina Null; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Rob Wilkie; daughter and son-in-law, Renda and Frankie Wilkie; grandchildren, Adam Cannon, Ryan and Logan Null, Clint and Mitchell Wilkie and Ellen and Nathan Wilkie; brother and sister-in-law Dik and Brenda Null; mother-in-law, Lenora Kelley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Fred Boester; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Carlene Kelley; and nieces and nephews, Shelley Null, Carrie Marks, Sarah Beth Bon, Todd Kelley, Scott Kelley, Tabatha Booten, Bridgett Compas, Brandy Dodd and Diana Logsden. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Vernon Kelley; and brother-in-law, Lyndell Kelley. Eddie served as the Pastor at Whiteash Free Will Baptist Church for 26 years. He worked as an insulator in the construction business. He was a retired member of the International Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Local #37 in Evansville, Indiana. He coached kids in baseball, softball and basketball for many years. Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother. He loved his church family and was a friend to all. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. “When you read in the paper the Eddie Null has passed away, don’t believe a word of it. Because I will never be more alive than I am today.”
