Robert D. “Bob” Wiseman MARION–Robert D. “Bob” Wiseman, 75, of Marion passed away at 3:50 AM, Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 17, 2008, at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Edward “Shorty” Alsip officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the Coach Kill Cancer Fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Wiseman was born March 20, 1933 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Monroe and Iva (Dixon) Wiseman. Survivors include his children, Tim and Rhonda Wiseman, Tina Harrell, Toni and Steve Bleyer, Traci Wiseman and Tabatha and Jeff Mayer; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Darlene Wiseman; sisters, Wilma Sanders and Margaret Ann Kincheloe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tamera Joan Wiseman; brothers, James, Lester, Lloyd and Lawrence Wiseman; infant brother, Edward Wiseman; and sisters, Dorothy Robinson and Freda Smothers. Mr. Wiseman owned and operated the Greyhound Bus Company in Marion for many years, where he was well known and respected by many. He worked for the Marion Postal Service as a rural mail carrier, retiring after 30 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed the computer and researching Genealogy. He loved spending time with his class mates from MHS and was active in planning class reunions and get-togethers. He was of the Baptist faith and supported the Dr. Charles Stanley Ministries. His hobbies included yard work, going to auctions, fishing and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. His proudest accomplishment was his children and he will be missed by all.
