Robert Colborn Sr.

  Robert Joseph Colborn, Sr., 78, of Marion, IL passed away Monday, February 5, 2018. He was born on October 10, 1939 in Olney IL, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Thompson) Colborn. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1957 and attended Lockyear’s Business College in Evansville, IN. During his career, he owned and operated various businesses in Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Colborn and by his daughter, Melissa (Colborn) Monk. Surviving him are, his son Robert Colborn, Jr. and girlfriend Machelle Lyell, his son-in-law Tony Monk, his brother Ron Colborn and wife Rose, nieces and nephew and many close cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, February 15th from 5pm to 7pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL. Burial will be Friday, February 16th at 12 noon at St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney, IL.
