Robert "Bob" Connell

Marion-Robert "Bob" D. Connell, 62, passed at his place of peace on Saturday, July 1st, 2017. Bob was born to parents Robert "Dog" and Patsy (Douglas) Connell on May 30th, 1955. He worked for the City of Marion for 30 years prior to his retirement in 2009. His joys in life were being a father and grandfather, traveling the country with his son, riding the open roads on his motorcycle, and all things Scuba Diving. Bob is survived by his mother, Patsy Connell of Marion, IL; Son, Douglas (Taylor) Connell of Marion, IL; Daughter, Rachel Connell and only grandchild, Annon Rightnowar of Bluford, IL; Sisters, Lila (Gilbert) Bratten of Springfield, IL, Jackie (Larry) Leonard of Rochester, IL, and Jami (Mitchell) Withers of Marion, IL; Nieces and Nephews, Brandy (Michael) Lane, Traci Martin, Brett (Michelle) Leonard, Tyler Leonard, Zane (Marti) Withers, and Chase Withers. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Dog" L. Connell, whom he missed dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7th, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. There will be no formal service.
