Rickey Webb Deaton CREAL SPRINGS-Rickey Webb Deaton, 53, of Creal Springs passed away at 11:48 PM, Monday, July 31, 2006 at St. Louis University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 3, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jeff Owens officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Trammel Cemetery in Stonefort. Memorials may be made to the Creal Springs Athletic Association; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Deaton was born on February 14, 1953 in Saline County, Illinois to Webb and Velma (Horn) Deaton. Survivors include daughter, Keri Deaton and fiancé, Brian Smith of Creal Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Amber Deaton of Creal Springs; son, Jarret Deaton and fiancé, Keisha Ray of Creal Springs; grandchildren, Tyler Webb Deaton, Brett Lauren Deaton, Ryen Nichole Deaton, Lacey Monroe Deaton, Eli Matthew Deaton, Brian Matthew Smith and Adrianna Lena Ray; and sister, Peggy Deaton of Sparta. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Deaton formerly worked for the City of Creal Springs for 15 years as a superintendent of utilities. He attended Stonefort General Baptist Church. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He loved his children and his grandchildren. If anyone in Creal Springs needed anything “Rickey would be there to help”. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
