ANNA -- Rickey Deon Brimm, 66, passed away at 6:43 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.
Services for Mr. Brimm will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, in Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with the Revs. Ron Reynolds and Richard Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the funeral home.

Rick was born Jan. 28, 1947, in Union County to Sam and Ella Mae (Dirden) Brimm.
He married Bonnie Massey on March 19, 1980, in Johnson County. They were days short of their 33rd wedding anniversary. She survives of Anna.
Mr. Brimm is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; children, Marilyn and David Walker of Houston, Zanetta Brimm of Louisville, Ky., Athena and Kenny Brimm-Wright of Effingham, Misty and Mike Pickles of Anna and Misty Pendergrass of Anna; brother, Kent Brimm of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Larry Brimm, Jackie Brimm, Mary Turner and Velma Lylera; and grandson, Christopher Walker.
Rick was a construction worker by trade. He worked for 34 years for Laborer Locals 773 and 1330.
His hobbies included fishing, walking in the woods, and painting on saw blades as well as canvases. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan. Rick's ultimate passion was camping and riding horses. He looked forward each day to mounting his trusty side-kick "Turbo" and going for a long adventure. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
