Richard “Dick” Molt GOREVILLE-Richard “Dick” Molt, 92, of Goreville passed away at 3:45 AM, Thursday, January 7, 2010 at is home. Memorial services will be at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with family members and friends officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Dick was born July 31, 1917 in Chicago to Fredrick and Irma (Mobrey) Molt. He married Jane Peebles on July 25, 1975, in Loami, IL. She survives of Goreville. Survivors include his wife, Jane of Goreville; children, Karen Louise Peterson of Country Club Hills, IL, Gary William Molt of Colorado, Phillip & Gina Melton of Goreville, Todd & Lydia Melton of Friendswood, Texas, and Darryl Melton of Goreville; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Molt; brother, Fred Molt; and sister, Patricia Linhardi. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, he was a 4-H leader, was a member of the Ruritan Club, he was a first responder in the Goreville area. He loved to make wine and beer and tending his orchard and vineyard. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
