Richard D. Bagdonas Marion- Richard D. Bagdonas, 90, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 12:15 AM at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion. According to Richard’s wishes, his body will be cremated and no services will be held. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Richard was born on March 31, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Leo & Veronica (Witkowski) Bagdonas. He married Dorothy Hangos on August 9, 1947 in Chicago; they were about to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary. Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy; children, Veronica & Andy West of Marion, James Bagdonas of California and Charles Bagdonas of Arizona; grandchildren, Natalie West, Samuel West, Benjamin West, Megan Bagdonas, Noah Bagdonas and Mike Bagdonas; sister, Dolores Kostuch of Wisconsin. Richard was preceded by his parents. He served in the United States Navy as a pilot. Richard was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather. He was a caring friend to all and will be missed.
