Ralph "Junior" Vinson

Chester-Ralph “Junior” Vinson, 79, passed from this life to the next on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL, surrounded by family and his extended family at the nursing home.
Ralph was the son of Ralph W. Vinson, Sr. and Hazel Frances (Johnson) Vinson. He was united in marriage to Anna Lavonna (Deere) Vinson on July 11, 1956 and she preceded him in death on October 28, 2013.
He is survived by two children; a daughter, Pamela (Vinson) Schuchert and son-in-law, Robert Schuchert of Chester, IL ; a son, Bradley Vinson; one brother, Paul Vinson and his wife, Stella of Vienna, IL; two sisters, Frances Deaton and her husband Jack of Ozark, IL and Linda Douglas of Tunnel Hill, IL; many nieces and nephews and all the staff at Three Springs Lodge (extended family at the nursing home and many friends)
In addition to his wife and parents, Junior was preceded in death by an infant brother, Bobby Vinson; brother, Ronald Vinson; nephew, Rex Vinson; step niece, Peggy Kerr; sister-in-laws, Mary Eggemeyer and Wanda Deere and two brother-in-laws, Alvin Deere and Rick Douglas.
Junior worked for the railroad, the Olin Corporation, Grinnell Sash & Door and at Sparta Printing Company until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music and loved Western movies. Junior will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. Thomas Spiller officiating. Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Bradley Rescue c/o Dr. Schupp Animal Hospital in Chester and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ PO Box 411/ Marion, IL 62959.
