Phillip C. Swartzentrover Creal Springs, IL– Phillip C. Swartzentrover, 52, of Creal Springs, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Ron Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at McKinney Chapel with VFW Post 1301, American Legion Post 147 and the National Guard performing Military Rites. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Shriner’s Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Phillip was born on August 17, 1958 to James Willard & Patricia (Shenk) Swartzentrover. He married Vickie Crites on August 20, 1983 at McKinney Chapel in Marion, IL. He is survived by his wife; son, James W. Swartzentrover of Creal Springs; brothers, Keith & Patricia Swartzentrover of Johnson City, RI and James & Beverly Swartzentrover of Taylor, MI; sisters, Katherine & Stephen Machel of North Carolina and Miss Jeffrey Swartzentrover; looked upon as a second mother, Joan Skyles of Johnston City; brothers-in-law, James H. Crites of Creal Springs and Gene & Judy Crites; sister-in-law, Judy & Rex Tucker of Georgia; best friend, Jeff & Michelle Crites of Marion; several nieces & nephews; several great-nieces & nephews; several great-great-nieces & nephews; special nephew, Shelby Crites; special niece, Christine Crites; aunt, Jane Shenk of Weidman, MI; great-aunt, Caroline Zeisman. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Evered & Ida Rounds; uncle, Donald Shenk and niece Carrie. He formerly served in the United States Navy and currently was a Volunteer Firefighter for the Lake of Egypt Fire Department. Phillip liked to fish, complete puzzles, build models and interact in any type of family activity. He was a truck driver for Renee’s Trucking. Phillip was a beloved Father, Husband, Son and Friend.
