Peggy R. Grobe MARION-Peggy R. Grobe, 68, of Marion passed away at 10:04 AM, Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Belleville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Michael Neubert officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery in Energy. Mrs. Grobe was born December 1, 1939 in Union County, Illinois to Walter H. and Hazel (Kerr) Turner. She married David Grobe on December 30, 1960 in Marion, Illinois; together they shared 47 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, David of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Gregory M. McCree of Carterville; son, David Scott Grobe and Stacey Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine “Katey” and Timothy D. Thompson of Palm Gardens, Florida; grandsons, Aaron McCree and Kristen Wilson of West Frankfort; Austin McCree of Goose Creek South Carolina; Evan McCree of Carterville; Nicholas and Benjamin Thompson of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; great-grandson Colin Michael McCree of West Frankfort; sister and brother-in-law Beth Ann and Steve Impson of Woodstock, Georgia; and a special aunt Virginia Penrod and Husband Byron of Grand Tower. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Grobe was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marion, a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma teaching society. Mrs. Grobe taught in Marion schools from 1960 to 1970 and taught at Crab Orchard School from 1970 until her retirement in 1994. She will be missed by her family and many friends,
