Pauline Travelstead, 94, of Marion, passed away March 4th, 2012 at Marion Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Travelstead will be held at the Blue Funeral Home, on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 at 11am. There will be a time of visitation from 10am until the service hour. Rev. Kevin McNeely will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hands of Hope Hospice Clinic and will be received at the funeral home or may be mailed C/O Blue Funeral Home PO Box 411 Marion IL 62959.
Mrs. Travelstead was born July 3, 1917 to Orb and Gertrude (Davis) Upchurch in New Burnside IL. She married James Albert Travelstead in Chicago IL in September of 1936. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1991. She formerly worked at McKinnley School as Head Cook for many years. In her career she also worked at Creal Springs Nursing Home and school, and at the Gray Plaza Hotel. She attended the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bobby Travelstead, sister Jewell Hayes, brothers Dave, John and Ralph Upchurch and grandson Tim Travelstead.
