Paul Harold Wilson
MARION-Paul Harold Wilson, 85, of Marion passed away at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the V. A. Medical Center in Marion.
In respect of Mr. Wilsonâs personal wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral. Private services will be held with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Military rites will be held at the cemetery by Marion VFW Post 1301 and American Legion Post 147. Memorials may be made to patients needs through Community Affairs at the V.A. Mr. Wilson was born June 5, 1921 in Pinckneyville, Illinois to Marion and Minnie (Bishop) Wilson. He married Mildred Strobel July 20, 1941 in Jackson, Missouri; she preceded him in death on August 30, 1996.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jodie Wilson of Marion; daughter, Beth Wilson of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Larry Boyd of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Lisa Wilson and Brandon and Jacob Boyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers, Scott and Virgil Wilson; sister, Ina Wilson; and an infant brother, Billie Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a real estate broker and owned and operated Paul Wilson Reality in Marion for 35 years. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Marion. He served his country with the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a life member of the Marion VFW Post 1301.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
