Paul D. Driver Creal Springs—Paul Driver, 69, passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 16, 2011. He was born on June 4, 1941 in Tatum Texas; the son of Orville & Hazel (McCarron) Driver. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 11 AM with Reverend Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Tatum Cemetery in Tatum, TX. Memorial donations are suggested to the Arnold View Freewill Baptist Church, or one of the donor’s choosing. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. He married Janet Daniels in 1962 in Texas; they were blessed with 3 children. In 1984, he married Jean Robertson. Both ladies survive. Paul is survived by his daughter, Shelley Hammer & her 4 children; son, Derrell & Dianne Driver & their 2 children; son, Philip & Amy Driver & their 3 children; step-daughter, Laura & William Davidson & their child. He is also survived by his special friends, Charlene Martin (adopted mother) & her daughter, Marie Clements, whom he loved like a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Milton; half-sisters, Bertha & Carol; grandparents, Pearl & Frank Driver, who raised him and his brother after their mother’s death at a young age. Paul spent his life working as a salesman and spent his free time as a fisherman. He loved being outside and always had a garden so that he could share produce with his neighbors and many friends. He was an active member of Arnold View Free will Baptist Church in Crab Orchard and never tired of going on visitation and winning souls for the Lord. He never hesitated to share his opinions and knowledge with anyone who asked. He never met a stranger.
