Goreville- Patty Jo Edgil, 60, of Goreville, formerly of Chicago, passed away at 4:25 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born on March 22, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, to Harold Edward and Betty Jean (Nunnery) Rich. She married Harold Edgil on April 20, 1998 in Johnson County. He survives of Goreville.
Patty was a loving and caring person who enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and spending time with her children. She formerly worked as a beautician and also as a cook and waitress at Ted’s in Chicago.
She attended East Liberty Christian Church. She enjoyed gathering with her family during the holidays, playing Bingo with family and friends and travelling with to various places like the Smoky Mountains, Florida and the Caribbean.

Daughter- Jacqueline Edgil of Goreville
Daughter- Joyce Edgil of Edinburgh, IN

She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Darrell Wimberly will officiate. Entombment will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Wednesday, at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.
