Patsy J. Tooley Marion- Patsy J. Tooley, 74, of Marion, passed away 11:43 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Orin Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Patsy was born on December 15th 1936 to Willie and Albertha (Thomas) Strickland. She married Daniel Tooley on July 4th, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 5th, 2009. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steven and Ana Tooley of Marion, daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Ted Cottril of Marion, and daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and John Allen of Guyton, Georgia. She is also survived by grandchildren; Jessica Assaf, Laura Renwick, Erica Stansell, Jody Allen, Jesse Allen, Sondra Ronk, Steven A Tooley, Natasha Jarden, Savannah Tooley and Nathaniel Tooley and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother's Billy Dale Strickland & Joe Strickland; grandson John Allen. Patsy was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1301 and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 147, both in Marion. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
