Pamela Sue Burns MARION–Pamela Sue Burns, 54, of Marion passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer at 11:53 PM, Sunday, September 7, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Tim Ozment officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Burns was born on April 29, 1954 in Marion, Illinois to William “Bill” and Dorothy Mae (Sweeney) Tottleben. She married Terry Burns on November 27, 1999 in Marion. Survivors include her husband, Terry Burns of Marion; son, Brad Blades and girlfriend, Ericca Heim of Eugene, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sarah Blades of Marion; sister and brother-in-law, Sherrie and Richard Hanes of Herrin; brother and sister-in-law, William “Bill” and Anne Tottleben of Marion; mother-in-law, Patsy Burns; grandmother-in-law, Dimple Fuller; brother-in-law, Keith and Ann Burns; sister-in-law, Vivian Tottleben; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Tottleben; father-in-law, Phillip Burns; and brother-in-law, Larry Burns. Mrs. Burns attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion. She worked as a cook for Marion Unit 2 at Longfellow School for 23 years. She was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society and an active member of the Marion Elks. Her hobbies included collecting teddy bears.
