Orpha (McGee) Murphy CREAL SPRINGS-Orpha (McGee) Murphy, 48, of Creal Springs passed away at 1:21 PM, Monday, November 14, 2005 at Herrin Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Joye Perry officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, southwest of Marion Mrs. Murphy was born on August 25, 1957 in Marion, Illinois to Corum and Loudean (Frey) McGee. She married William Taft Murphy on July 31, 1976 at the Oak Grove Gospel Mission Church. Survivors include her husband, William Taft Murphy of Creal Springs; sons, James Marshall Murphy and Orlie Gene Murphy both of Creal Springs; her mother, Loudean Ellison of Carbondale; her siblings, Cherokee and Lori McGee of Silver Springs, Nevada, Naomi and Harley Garris of Reno, Nevada, Priscilla and Frank Mireles of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rick McGee of Herrin, Rhoda McGee, Ron and Evelyn McGee, and James and Jamie McGee all of Marion, Nell Gray of Wonderlake, Cindy and Bob Gibbs of Johnston City and Pat Shepard of Carbondale; mother-in-law, Anna Mae Murphy of Creal Springs; numerous nieces and nephews; and two great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Corum McGee and her father-in-law, Ray Murphy. Mrs. Murphy was raised in the Oak Grove Gospel Mission Church. She graduated from Marion High School in 1975.
