MARION-Ollie Mae Poulos, 90, of Marion, passed away at 2:10 PM, Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jerry Schell officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Friday, February 11, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. Poulos was born on September 29, 1914 in Marion, Illinois to George and Mary Ann (Tanner) Powell. She married George Poulos on June 10, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri; he preceded her in death on March 28, 1967. Survivors include daughter, Mary Samples of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Georgia and Randy Pawlicki of Portage, Indiana; son and daughter-in-law, John and Brenda Poulos of Apache Junction, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Justine, Stacey, Deanna, Michael, Edward, Jacquelin, Kassie, and B.J.; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughters, Rita Wells, Shirley Gaston; sons-in-law, Gene Samples, Jack Wells and Harry Gaston; five grandsons; and sister, Elizabeth Killman. Mrs. Poulos worked as a restaurant cook for many years until her retirement. She loved to quilt.
