Nora Lee Smith GOREVILLE-Nora Lee Smith, 83, of Goreville passed away at 9:45 AM, Friday, 25, 2008 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion with Father Richard Mohr officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2008 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with a Prayer Service at 4:30 PM. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Smith was born November 9, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Matilda (Stewart) McCallum. She married Ira Smith Jr. he preceded her in death on June 18, 2006. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Dan Augustyniak of Ottawa; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Carol Smith of Chicago, Bill Smith of Goreville, Randy and Karyn Smith of Hickory Hills, and Ken and Tammy Smith of Goreville, ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and six brothers. Mrs. Smith attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. She loved to take care of family and friends. Everyone enjoyed her company, she will be missed by all who knew her.
