Nola Marks Marion-Nola Marks, 90, passed away May 4, 2012 at 10;55 AM in Heartland Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Graveside services for Mrs. Marks will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11AM in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Brothers R.H. Chitwood & Mike Cox officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to the Donor’s Choice; envelopes will be available during services or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Nola was born September 23, 1921, in Pittsburg to James & Norma (Stone) Sanders. She married Laverne Marks on March 14, 1941 in Charleston, MO. They shared 71 years of marriage; he survives. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Laverne; daughter, Shelby Evrard of Marion; grandchildren, Lynn & Mike Cox, Shelly Tyner, Douglas Davis and Lana & John Bradley Wells; great-grandchildren, Zachary Cox, Grace Cox, Jacob Tyner, Jacqueline Tyner and Brianna Wells & son-in-law, Gordon Gene Davis of Marion. Nola was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lavelle Davis; grandson, Dale Gene Davis and brother, James Sanders, Jr.
