Noah Matthew Saffelder MARION-Noah Matthew Saffelder, 17, of Marion passed away at 7:15 AM, Sunday, September 28, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion with Reverend Richard G. Mohr officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to Marion High School Art and Music Department; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Noah was born on December 25, 1990 in Danville, Illinois to Neil and Audrey (Thompson) Saffelder. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Neil and Karen Saffelder of Marion; mother and fiancé, Audrey Saffelder and Jerry West of Marion; maternal grandparents, Jim and Judy Thompson of Marion; paternal grandmother, Cleta “Granny” Saffelder of Marion; aunts and uncles, Gayle and Scott Phelps of Marion, Carmen and Ron Rinella of Missouri, and Scott Saffelder of Marion; cousins, Shelby and Connor Phelps, Nic Rinella, and Cory and Scott Brown; and nephew, Javan and his father, Zack Walston. He was preceded in death by his sister, Casey Saffelder; paternal grandfather, J. N. Saffelder; maternal great grandmother, Lucile Etherton; and uncle, Russ Saffelder. Noah was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. He was currently a senior at Marion High School. He loved music and was a good artist. He loved to make people laugh and would brighten a room with his smile. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. “Until we can hold him in our arms again, we will hold him in our hearts”.
