Goreville-Noah Johns, Jr., 80, died peacefully at 10:38am on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Noah was born on November 13, 1934 in Johnson County to Noah and Nettie (Girtman) Johns, Sr. He married Leona “Mae” Parton on February 19, 1955 in Paulton. She survives of Goreville.
In his spare time, Noah loved riding his favorite horse, “Duke”, with his friends along the various trails of southern Illinois. He had an outgoing personality and witty sense of humor so that he never met a stranger. He most enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends and especially loved his great granddaughter Addison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Johns; infant brother, Mitchell Lee Johns; sisters, Christine Tanner and Mae Henderson

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. R.G. Null officiating. Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
