Nick Davis

Marion-Nick Davis, 85, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at his home. Nick was born on August 7, 1932 in Eldorado to Joe and Lenore (Smith) Davis. He married Pauline Taliana in 1983. Nick attended Mt. Vernon Township High School where he was the President of the class of 1951. He participated in all sports and was later inducted into the Hall of Fame.  Nick served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.  He worked as a carpenter and retired from Nevada Test Site. Nick enjoyed life and people and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. Survivors include: Wife-Pauline Davis Daughters: Angela and Bo Hash Pamela and Tim Davis Julie Coffman and partner Judy Grandchildren: AdriaAnn Matthew Nick Brittaney Kylee Chelsey Sam Great grandchildren: Adriana Peyton Taysom Taggert Sister-Calleen Briner Brother-Gene Davis Great nephew-Joe Davis He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. John Hackman officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Marion VFW with assistance from the National Guard. Visitation will be on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
