Johnston City- Nellie Faye Childers, age 86, of Johnston City, passed away at 2:20am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Hillview Healthcare Center in Vienna.
Nellie was born in Lick Creek, Illinois on November 26, 1931, the daughter of George and Etta (Gurley) Manus. She married Donald Childers in Piggott, Arkansas on September 20, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2013. Mrs. Childers was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter- Angie Childers, granddaughter-in-law- Jill Childers, twin sister- Mellie Childers, two brothers- Wayne and Raymond Manus, and sister-in-law- Dorothy Childers.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Rev. John Howat will officiate. Burial will follow at Anna City Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 11am-noon on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville.
