Nancy S. Thetford MARION-Nancy S. Thetford, 68, of Marion passed away at 7:25 PM, Friday, September 21, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Chaplain Vic Stone officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Mrs. Thetford was born February 10, 1939 in Marion to Samuel Earl and Elizabeth May (Funkhouser) Patterson. She married Charles Thetford on August 9, 1974 in Marion; together they shared 33 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, Charles of Marion; sons and daughter-in-law, Gary and Suzy James and Glen James all of Tampa, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Gordon Buvarskis of Houston, Texas; step-son and wife, Steve and Elizabeth Thetford of Bastrop, Texas; grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Charles, Alicia, Ashley and Jonah; great grandchildren, Arianna and Murriah; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Elizabeth Ann Patterson and Ernie Bill Williams and Jennifer all of Marion; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Louis Kelley of Marion; step-sisters, Wanda Daugherty and husband, LeJune of Johnston City and Gwen Summers of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Arthur Melvin Patterson. Mrs. Thetford was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker. She loved shopping and enjoyed crafts. She was a wonderful mother and will be missed by all.
