Nadine Mulkins Pittsburg—Nadine Mulkins, 73, of Pittsburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at her home. Funeral services for Nadine will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Don Colson officiating. Visitation at the funeral home will precede services on Saturday starting at 9:00 AM. Nadine will be interred on Saturday following services in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Nadine was born on October 20, 1937 in Marion to Bedford & Ruth (Shadowens) Garris. She married William James Mulkins, who preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter, Irene Norris of Pittsburg; longtime companion of 28 years, Harvey Simmons; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson born the day Nadine passed away. She was preceded by her parents; husband; son, Orval Garris; son-in-law, Kenny Norris; sisters, Helen Hellberg, Anna Mae Thompson, Pauline Thompson, Rocille Creekpaum and Velda Smith & several nieces. Nadine retired from Charles Todd Laundry and enjoyed quilting.
