Myra Rose Allen MARION-Myra Rose Allen, 83, of Marion passed away at 11:46 AM, Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical in Marion. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Reverend Tony Holley officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Allen was born May 22, 1924 in Pittsburg, Illinois to Lee and Maude (Berry) Christ. She married Emmel Allen on March 18, 1942; the Lord blessed them with 65 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband Emmel of Marion; son, Terry Allen of Marion; daughter, Nelda Ridlen of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Lee and Eva Jean Allen of Newburgh, Indiana; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lori Allen of St. Charles, Missouri; grandchildren, Chris and Kim Groves, Roxie and Bruce Radcliffe, Christopher Paul Allen, Nicholas Gene Allen, Tara Leigh Allen, Jeremy Allen and Emily Allen; and great grandchildren, Hannah Loyd, Brittany Loyd, Jessica Trexler Groves, Brittany Trexler Groves and Ariana Groves. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Leston Ridlen; and brother, William B. Christ. Mrs. Allen retired from the Williamson County Courthouse where she worked for Barney Boren in the County Clerk’s office for many years. She was of protestant faith. She loved cooking and camping.
