Goreville- James Lowell “Jim” Cain, 71, of Goreville, passed away at 9:41 AM, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Jim was born on January 12, 1942 in Herrin to Charles Lowell and Bonnie (Flener) Cain. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran who fought courageously for his country while stationed overseas. Once honorably discharged, he returned home to begin a career as a Bricklayer in Chicago for many years prior to his retirement.
He was of protestant faith and a member of the Marion VFW and American Legion Posts. He was a patient man who enjoyed gardening vegetables and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a meticulous mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with engines of all kinds.

Sister in law- Pilar Cain of Chicago

Shawn Bechtold of Colombus, OH
Joseph Cain and wife Tammy of Chicago
Michelle Cisneros and husband Juan of Chicago
Several great nieces and nephews
Numerous Cousins
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother- Charles Lee Cain.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Goreville assisted the family with memorial arrangements.
