Milton Scott CREAL SPRINGS-Milton Scott, 85, of Creal Springs passed away at 10:25 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. Military services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with VFW Post 1301, American Legion Post 147 and the National Guard conducting the services. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the services on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Scott was born on October 20, 1923 in Prairie Du Rocher to Walter and Mary (Fogepohl) Scott. He married Neva Eudene Durham, she preceded him in death on December 20, 2000. Survivors include his children, Dennis and Midge Scott of Minot, North Dakota, Daniel and Sheila Scott of Creal Springs, Marsha and Peck Jackson of Goreville, and Larry and Carla Scott of Alton; grandchildren, Michael Scott, Brian Scott, Tracy and John Gaddis, Kenneth and Angie Jackson, Larry Scott, Daniel and Ashley Scott and Jane Scott; nine great grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Betty Scott of Cahokia. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Michael Scott; three brothers; and one sister. Mr. Scott retired from Illinois Central Railroad. He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II. He loved to fish and make birdhouses.
