Mildred Kelton MARION-Mildred Kelton, 82, of Marion passed away at 9:45 AM, Sunday April 23, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Kelton was born on April 25, 1923 in Pittsburg, Illinois to Madison O. and Mae (Maddox) Sims. She married Vernell Kelton on December 28, 1945, he preceded her in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gary W. and Glenda Kelton of Marion; grandchildren, Jennifer and Roger Hancock and Jason Kelton all of Marion; great grandchildren, Chase and Connor Hancock; brother and sister-in-law, Carrol and Beverley Sims of West Frankfort; and nieces and nephews, Suzanne Sims, Mark and Micki Brady all of Pittsburg, Carol Ann Brady of St. Louis, Missouri and Cathy Hendrickson of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant brother, Cecil Sims; and sister-in-law, Janet Sims. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Marion. She was a homemaker.
