Mildred Jent MARION-Mildred Jent, 87, of Marion passed away at 3:55 PM, Monday, December 7, 2009 at Angels Acres in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Mark Paul Surburg officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mildred was born on March 10, 1922 in Nashville, Illinois to Harry and Amanda (Prushener) Wiese. She married Earl Jent on September 30, 1970; he preceded her in death on September 27, 2002. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Gladys Ann and Robert Harre and Bobby Dean and Sue Schwankhaus; cousin, Irvin Woker; special friends, Regenna & Dan Biermann; sisters-in-law, Betty Mitchell and Deloris Jent. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Alma Schwankhaus. Mildred was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marion. She retired from Bays Thriftway Grocery Store after many years of service.
