MARION-Mildred I. Baker-Chamness, 96, of Marion passed away at 12:05 AM, Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion. Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Palm Cemetery in Rushville, Illinois with Pastor Paul Arnold officiating. Blue Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. As per Mildred`s personal wishes, there will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Baker-Chamness was born on May 24, 1908 in Rushville, Illinois to Chester and Hester (Nell) Paisley. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Shirley Baker of Golden Valley, Arizona; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Glenn Baker; second husband, Vernell Chamness; daughter, Rose Lam; and two sons, Loren and Gene Baker. Mrs. Baker-Chamness was a homemaker.
