Marion-Mildred Corn, 95, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Parkway Manor.
Mildred was born on January 12, 1922 in Franklin County to Cecil W. and Golda (Smith) Frailey. She married Denver Corn on June 12, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2006. Together they enjoyed traveling and exploring new places for 67 years.
Mildred was an elementary teacher until she retired in 1980. She was a member of the 1
st Baptist Church of Goreville and a lifetime member of Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois alumni association. Mildred loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers, Richard and Jesse.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. C.E. Sullivan officiating and Dean Smith assisting. Burial will be at Brady Cemetery in Akin. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
