Michael Paul Longanecker, Sr.

Michael Paul Longanecker Sr, age 68, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his home in Marion, Illinois.

Michael was born June 23, 1954 in Los Angeles, California, a son of Paul I. and Jackie (McGregor) Longanecker.  He married Debbie J. Davis on March 08, 1975 in Perryville, MO.   
Michael owned and operated Michael's Construction Co. and he loved building and constructing things.  He loved spending time in his backyard.  He named it "His Piece of Heaven".  He spent hours there grilling and smoking meats and cooking for family and friends.  He loved his family and his dogs.  His favorite place to eat was Tequila's Mexican Restaurant.  Michael would help anyone in need and he will be missed by everyone that knew him.      

He is survived by his wife Debbie J. Longanecker of Marion, IL; two sons, Michael P. Longanecker II of Marion, IL and Paul I. Longanecker of Marion, IL; and one sister, Linda (Rev. Dean) Olive of Madison, AL.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Ira and Jackie Longanecker.
