Michael Hopkins

Michael Eugene Hopkins, 59, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his home.

Michael was born on November 3, 1961 in Elgin to David Lee and Shirley Gene (Hall) Hopkins.  He worked as a machine operator.

Daughter-Nicki and Toby Holmes of Kingsland, GA

Son-Aaron Hopkins of Chaffee

Grandchildren-River and Brooks Holmes of Kingsland, GA

Sister-Reva and Ron Cox of Carbondale

Brother-David and Trudy Hopkins, Davidson, NC

Brother-Allan and Liz Hopkins of Statesville, NC

Brother-John and Tracy Hopkins of Knoxville, TN

Sister-Sandy and Jim Ridings of Johnston City

Several nieces and nephews

Mother of his children-Janice Hopkins of Chaffee, MO

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tim Hopkins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Carbondale.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask. Memorials may be made to the Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
