Michael D. Wise

Goreville- Michael Dale Wise, 67, of Goreville, passed away at 11:28 AM, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Herrin Hospital. Michael was born on May 10, 1952 in Mattoon to Dale and Betty (Miller) Wise. He was retired from the Village of Goreville where he worked many years in the water department. He also mowed lawns for various friends and neighbors. He was a Christian and enjoyed watching birds, listening to music, especially classic rock and blues and watching sports like basketball during March Madness or his beloved Chicago Cubs. Michael was a witty person with a great personality who liked to joke around, pull pranks and tell excellent stories. He will be dearly missed.

Girlfriend- Jenny Huckleberry and family from Goreville

Sisters- Vickie Jones and husband Rodell of Kankakee

Kathy Swallers of Wilmington Pam Falkenhan and husband Scott of Kankakee

Brother- James Wise of Goreville

Nieces and nephews- Brant and Matt Swallers and Brittany Curtis

Many great nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew- Scott Wise.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Rev. R. G. Null will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service, Saturday at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville.
