M.D. Cross Marion-- M.D. Cross, 91, of Marion, passed away at 5:02 PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Donald Schluter officiating; burial will be in RoseHill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Marion Chapter of Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available during the services or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. M.D. was born on April 9, 1921 in Marion to William Escoe & Florence (Hood) Cross. He married Floe Tanner in 1941; they shared 49 years together until her passing on January 31, 2005. Surviving are his daughter, Theresa Vincelette; grandchildren, Sheila & Edmond Hodge of Daytona, FL., Shawn Vincelette of Atlanta, GA., Timothy Vincelette & Fiancé’ Barbara of Marion; great-grandchildren, Gabri Hodge & Seth Hodge both of Daytona and Nick Vincelette of Marion. M.D. was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
