Maxine Parks

Marion-Maxine Parks, 77, passed away at 1:00pm on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Maxine was born on July 10, 1936 in Hamilton County to Halley and Gwen (Clark) Hungate. She married Jack Parks in 1951 in Jackson, Missouri. He survives of Marion. Maxine’s life was devoted to the Red Top Cab Company. She loved to watch her son, Jay and grandson, Jeff race. Maxine will be missed by all. Survivors include: Husband-Jack Parks of Marion Sons: Roger Parks and wife Jo of Marion Jay Parks and wife Robin of Marion Grandchildren: Jeff Parks of Marion R.J. Parks of Marion Megan Koestansek of Marion Sisters: Carrie Tripp of Marion Vera Hart and husband Jack of Litchfield, IL Brother-Herbert Hungate of Pekin, IL She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Hungate and sister, Marie Colliver Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Matt Troxel officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL 62959.
