Max Michael Motsinger Goreville-Max Michael Motsinger, 76, of Goreville, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 4:19 PM at his home. Funeral services for Max will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Dr. Ron Ferguson officiating. Military Rites will be conducted after the funeral with Marion VFW, American Legion and the National Guard; interment to follow in Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Visitation for Mr. Motsinger is on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude’s; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Mr. Motsinger was born on September 22, 1935 in Harrisburg to William “Bill” & Dorothy (Kincheloe) Motsinger. He married Rita Brewer on September 25, 1993 in Goreville. Max is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Rita Motsinger of Goreville; daughter, Teresa Clayton of O’Fallon; son, Michael & Sandy Motsinger, Sr. of O’Fallon; step-son, Kirby & Jerri Brewer of St. Louis; step-daughter, Johnna & Mark Herren of Goreville; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents; brothers, Thomas Motsinger & Larry Motsinger and son-in-law, Jim Clayton. Max had retired from his position as an engineer at McDonnell Douglas. He was a Christian man, attending Goreville First Baptist Church. Mr. Motsinger proudly served his Country as a member of the United States Air Force.
