Mary Ann Planinc

Mary Ann Planinc, age 79, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Mary was born July 03, 1943 in Marion, Illinois, a daughter of Paul and Frankie (Ray) Riddle. She married Frank Planinc on June 6, 1962. He preceded her in death.

Mary loved to spend time with her family, adoring each and every one of them. She enjoyed crocheting and treasured time reading her Bible. Mary worked as a beautician for over thirty years and had also worked at Wal-Mart, retiring in 2006.She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her two children- John Franklin Planinc and Regina Kay (Clifton) Bloodworth; five grandchildren- Clinton Bloodworth, Derek Bloodworth, Cierra Bloodworth, John Planinc, Jr., and Dustin Planinc; five great grandchildren- Lillian Bloodworth, Dereka Bloodworth, Liam Bloodworth, Colton Bloodworth, and Madelynn Bloodworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two children- Donald Jean Summon and Sterling Wayne Planinc.

Mary's wishes were to be cremated with graveside services held at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.
