Mary Lois Kuehling GOREVILLE – Mary Lois Kuehling, 76, of Goreville went home to be with the Lord at 9:54 PM, Monday, May 31, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at United Missionary Baptist Church in Lick Creek with Reverend Paul Tirey officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Goreville is assisting the family with the services. Memorials may be made to Mid-America Transplant Services or the donors choice; envelopes are available through the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mary was born March 11, 1934 in Columbus Junction, Iowa to Charles T. and Oma B. (Heath) Rice. She married Ervie Kuehling, Jr. on July 15, 1952 in Mt. Carmel. Survivors include her husband, Ervie Kuehling, Jr. of Goreville; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Monica Kuehling of Aztec, New Mexico; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Jim Richey of Stafford, Virginia; grandchildren, Amanda and B.J. Cogburn, Caitlin Kuehling and Shelby Richey; sisters and brother-in-law, Norma J. Cook of the Lake of Egypt, Sandy and Bud Viner of Emmerson, Iowa and Judy Shular of Mt. Carmel; and brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas and Brenda Gideon of Pine Haven, Wyoming and Gary Gideon of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Charles E., Jimmy and Arthur Rice and David Gideon. Mary enjoyed a full and happy life. She was a devoted wife and loved being with and traveling with her loving husband of 57 years. Their union was blessed with 2 children that she brought up in service to the Lord and she was also blessed with 3 granddaughters. Mary was a good and faithful servant. She retired from Monticello Nursing Home in Mt. Carmel and from Best Inns in Marion. She was a strong advocate of organ donation. She enjoyed flowers, camping, and spending time with her granddaughters.
