Mary L. Davis CARRIER MILLS-Mary L. Davis, 72, of Carrier Mills passed away at 12:04 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Robert Hutson, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mrs. Davis was born April 28, 1936 in Metropolis, Illinois to Thomas Paul and Jewell (Rushing) Reed. She married John J. Davis in 1955; he preceded her in death in 1991. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy Davis; daughter, Sherry Davis and Jim Nobles; and grandchildren, John Anthony Davis, Jeremy Marks, Jason Marks, Josh Nobles and James Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Shelby Jean Fenney. Mrs. Davis was a Jehovah Witness. She was a homemaker and she loved to sing.
