Mary E. McInturff Creal Springs-Mary E. McInturff, 91, of Creal Springs passed away at 5:35 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at her residence. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Fountain Cemetery south of Marion with Reverend Don Bowers officiating. Memorials may be made to the Fountain United Methodist Church; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. McInturff was born on September 1, 1917 in Creal Springs to Charles and Edna (Pritchett) McInturff. Survivors include son, Paul and Jo McInturff of Creal Springs; grandson, Greg and Dana McInturff and daughter Kaylee; grandson, Derik McInturff and son D.J. and Derick’s companion Carol Mocaby and children; sisters, Helen Fly of Marion, and Dora Brown of Richland, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Naomi Stevens. Mary worked as a cosmetologist until she was 80 years old. She originally worked at Grace’s Beauty Shop and later operated a salon with her sister Helen. She was a former member of the Marion Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Fountain United Methodist Church. She devoted all her free time to her grandsons and great-grandchildren. To her grandsons she was “Mackie” and to her great-grandchildren, she was “Ne Ne”. She will be sadly missed by them all.
