Mary Ann Roi

Marion Mary Ann Roi, 77, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 2:55 AM in Bridgemark of Energy Assisted Living. According to Mary’s wishes, her body will be donated to the Southern Illinois University-Carbondale School of Medicine for scientific study. After the donation process is complete, her body will be cremated. She requested that no services be held. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home; PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is helping to carry out Mary Ann’s final request. Mary Ann was born in Erie, CO to Alexander & Louise (Melvin) Barclay on Friday, June 14, 1935. Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Alexander Barclay of Royalton; niece, Cheryl Smillie of Johnston City, and, last Chapter friend & neighbor, Judy McCoy of Herrin. Ms. Roi was preceded in death by her parents. Mary Ann was formerly employed at the Cook County Criminal Court Building in Chicago as an assistant supervisor. She was a Board Member of Community of Care Ministry, a member of the Marion American Legion Auxiliary and Marion Eagles Auxiliary.
