Marvin Hite Marvin Hite, 73 of Marion passed away Friday June 24th at 6:43 pm at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. Services for Hite will be held at Blue Funeral Home at 11 am on Tuesday, June 28th 2011. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27th from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation. Envelopes are at the Funeral Home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Marvin Hite was born October 28th, 1937 to Clarence and Twyla (Emmons) Hite. He married Mary Satterfield, having two sons. He married Judi Hardy on April 9th, 1982. Marvin is survived by his wife; children, Scott Hite and wife Sarah, Greg Hite and wife Kim, and Chris and Sherry Carter; grandchildren, Alicia and Aaron Pritchett, Cari and Cori Rye, Christopher Evetts, Amber Evetts, Jonathan Evetts, Steven Anderson, Noah Hite, Abby Hite, Abbie Carter, Marlee Carter, Rylee Hite and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Marvin was a salesman by trade, and enjoyed traveling. He also enjoyed boating and spending time using his RV.
