Martha Medina Martha Medina, 43, of Marion passed away at 3:08 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. Funeral services for Martha will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion at 11:00 AM with Friar Uriel Salamanca officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. A time of gathering for family and friends to celebrate Martha’s life is on Friday night, September 14, 2012 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Martha was born in Durango, Mexico to Eduardo & Bernarda (Martinez) Maturino. She married Gustavo Medina in Rodeo, Mexico on November 10, 1991; they were about to celebrate their 21 anniversary. Mrs. Medina is survived by her loving husband, Gustavo of Marion; children, Lupita Medina, Eric Medina, Selena Medina and Gustavo Medina, Jr. all of Marion; siblings, Victorino & Cirila Maturino of Webb City, MO, Dellia & Hilario Villanueva of Allen, TX, Carmen Maturino of Jopplin, MO, Maria Del Refujio of Chicaha, Mexico, Teresa & Rodolpho Reyes of Jopplin, MO and Manuel Maturino of Webb City, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo & Bernarda, and a brother, Gabino Maturino. Mrs. Medina was of Catholic faith. She enjoyed casino gaming and was a wonderful cook; having perfected several diverse types of dishes. Martha loved attending family events and had an appreciation for music and a good movie. She was a beautiful wife and mother.
